Can Royal Jelly Help You Remember?

In the brain, memory storage is a complicated and fascinating process. The retention of information and happy thoughts is important to everyone, for majority of the population it is just ‘normal’ to be able to recall memories.

Can you imagine slowly losing that ability? Losing your memory processing power would be frightening. To not remember fond memories or the significant people in your life, or when it starts interfering with daily tasks, forgetting your route home or how to use appliances.

In a bid to protect their brain, many people are looking to alternate methods to try and improve brain function and improve memory retention/protection. The GREAT news is that Royal Jelly has proven effective in both these areas.

After Royal Jelly had a been seen to have a beneficial role on neural functions, Iranian scientists wanted to examine the effect royal jelly has on spatial learning and memory using behavioural testing.

Rats were fed Royal Jelly for 10 days, then had their spatial learning and memory tested, using the ‘Morris water maze test’ as well as neurotransmitter levels, their metabolites and utilization in the selected brain regions to determine if royal jelly did in fact improve brain function. Observations determined that Royal Jelly did enhanced memory and learning performance.

Could this mean that Royal Jelly can be used as a preventative measure to help build brain strength? It was observed that these benefits occurred after only TEN DAYS of taking daily doses of Royal Jelly, can you imagine the positive impact Royal Jelly would have on you?

In this study, it is also explained that the compound 10-hydroxy-trans-2 decanoic acid (HDEA) can pass through the blood-brain barrier due to its properties as a small unsaturated fatty-acid. Further explaining that 10HDEA mimics the effects of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) and probably stimulate neurogenesis in the mature brain. 10HDEA is only found naturally in Royal Jelly.

Using behavioural testing it has been concluded that Royal Jelly may have a positive impact on brain function and memory; seeing results in less than two weeks.

Consider trying Royal Jelly as a preventative measure to ensure the health of your brain. If not for the sake of your own health but for the significant people around you and your memory of them.
