What Type of Amino Acids are Found in Royal Jelly?

Royal Jelly proteins contain most of the amino acids in which eight are indispensable or essential: valine, leucine, isoleucine, threonine, methionine, phenylalanine, tryptophan and lysine. The representatives of the sugar in Royal Jelly are glucose and fructose. Each of these amino acids contributes to the multiple benefits of Royal Jelly by combining and reconstructing new, healthy, cell regeneration.

Valino

Valino helps to prevent muscle from damage because this substance gives the muscle an additional amount of glucose which helps to produce energy during physical activity. This amino acid also helps with cognitive functioning and regulating the immune system. Valino cannot be produced by the body and must be consumed through supplements or food.

Leucine

Leucine is an amino acid that works to help regulate blood-sugar levels and repair muscle and bone tissue. Leucine also prevents breakdown of muscle proteins after trauma or severe stress. Leucine works to also assist with the growth hormone process.

Isoleucine

Isoleucine is an amino acid that has a range of diverse functions, such as assisting wound healing, detoxification of nitrogenous wastes, stimulating immune function, and promoting secretion of several hormones. Necessary for haemoglobin formation and regulating blood sugar and energy levels, isoleucine is concentrated in muscle tissues in humans.

Threonine

Threonine is an important amino acid of many proteins and it plays an important role in maintaining metabolism and preventing fat buildup in the liver. Threonine has also been used to alleviate anxiety and mild depression in several cases. This substance is similar to methionine which helps with growth and tissue repair. This amino acid promotes skin and hair growth and strengthens nails.

Phenylalanine

Phenylalanine works by allowing adrenaline to be converted into the brain which is responsible for promoting mental alertness and memory. This amino acid is used for the elevation of mood and for the suppression of appetite. Phenylalanine has been suggested to treat such conditions that include, lack of energy, memory problems, depression, confusion and lack of appetite.

Tryptophan

Tryptophan is used to produce serotonin and melatonin through brain neurotransmitters.  Serotonin and melatonin are hormones that play a massive role regulating sleep and appetite as well as overall well-being. These hormones are associated with happiness and relaxation of the body. For people who already suffer from clinical depression, or anxiety, this amino acid might be lacking in their diet. An increase of tryptophan can result in a better mood and reduce irritability in everyday life.

Lysine

Lysine helps to fight against viruses and infections. This amino acid fights off unwanted bacteria and cleans the system of foreign matter so that the body is stronger and healthier.

All of these amino acids help to increase bodily functions and improve overall health. By containing all eight of these amino acids, Royal Jelly provides a large range of benefits for our health and wellness and for many is a key to maintaining energy, vitality and balance.
