Can Royal Jelly Help You Lose Weight?

Did you know that around 2 billion people worldwide are overweight or obese? And around 2.6 million people die annually as a result of obesity. Weight is something that majority of us worry about, trying to live a healthy lifestyle & be happy with the way we look.

Some people find that they are unable to lose weight because of their metabolism; this is because it may be being presented different compounds that your metabolism is unable to deal with.

But new research has shown that ingesting Royal Jelly may help in restoring symbiotic metabolism & preventing too much adipose tissue. This is the white fat (‘bad fat’) used for storing energy, cushioning & insulating the body.

Researchers supplemented a high fat diet with Royal Jelly and found that it reduced the build-up of bad fat. This simultaneously did not suppress the amount of brown fat (‘good fat’ that has iron in it for generating heat) in the body.

In a separate study, scientists also found that supplementing Royal Jelly into a diet induced thermogenesis (which is also what green tea helps with). Thermogenesis is a natural process that occurs in your body, which increases your metabolism & burns body fat; the compounds of HDEA & HDAA found in Royal Jelly also increase proteins that boost thermogenesis, which therefore increases the metabolism by a significant amount.

One of these studies was conducted using a high fat diet, therefore proving that even with a typically ‘healthy’ diet you may still see an improvement in metabolism.
